Prostate Symptom Score

The IPSS self-assessment

The International Prostate Symptom Score is a validated questionnaire that measures how much your urinary symptoms are affecting you. It takes about two minutes.

Lower urinary tract symptoms are often linked to an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). Answer each question based on your experience over the past month. Your total score places your symptoms in one of three bands: mild, moderate, or severe.

This tool is for information only and is not a diagnosis. It does not replace assessment by a doctor. If you have blood in your urine, a sudden inability to pass urine, or severe pain, seek medical care promptly.
Please answer all seven symptom questions before calculating.
